This is an original acrylic painting of a floral arrangement. The blue and white vase design was inspired by a favorite painter of mine, Henri Matisse. The bouquet is of dark red carnations. The style is a melding of folk art and modernism. The background is one of my favorite colors, turquoise. Shading has been added and the sides of the canvas are painted a reddish-brown. It is ready to hang, but a frame could be added if desired.
